“I have lived in Hatfield for 42 years,” shares Lisa Ekus. “In that time my entire family have availed ourselves of Cooley Dickinson’s terrific healthcare, both inside and outside the hospital – for births, deaths, medical and surgical care.”
“The advantages of a superb local community hospital are immeasurable, beginning with the medical professionals we have come to know and trust,” Lisa continues. “These excellent doctors, nurses, and caregivers are at the heart of our local community hospital. I’m thrilled to see the expansion and improvement of our emergency department to better serve us all. It’s often the first “stop” when we need immediate assistance.”
Why does Lisa support Cooley Dickinson Hospital philanthropically? In her words, Lisa says, “Because I believe wholeheartedly in giving back. I birthed both my daughters and welcomed a granddaughter at Cooley Dickinson’s Childbirth Center. I am currently co-chair of the Patient/ Family Advisory Council, sit on numerous committees to represent the community’s medical needs, and am a supporter of, and fundraiser for, the development team and all their great work.” “For these reasons, and because this is MY community and MY hospital, I choose to financially support Cooley Dickinson Hospital both annually and in my legacy plan,” Lisa emphasizes. “Philanthropy is core to ensuring a healthy present and future.”
